Location

The closest airport to fly into is the Gallatin Airport in Bozeman, Montana, which is 90 miles from Gardiner and Yellowstone National Park's year-round entrance. Bear Creek Hideaway in Jardine is very close to Gardiner. The drive from Bozeman to Jardine is breathtaking all the way!

Directions: From Bozeman take I-90 over the pass to Livingston at Edit 333. From Billings, take I-90 West to Exit 333 at Livingston. From Livingston, head South on Hwy 89, following the Yellowstone River through the famous Paradise Valley. The highway meanders through Yankee Jim Canyon to Gardiner. Turn left at the Cenex station onto Jardine Road. Continue on the Park County maintained road to Jardine until you reach the intersection at the Bear Creek bridge. Cross the bridge onto Crevice Mountain Road for approximately 2/10th mile and turn left at the Bear Creek Hideaway sign. Switchback once to the right and follow the buck fence to the Bear Creek Hideaway driveway entrance. Use of a 4wd vehicle is advised during the snow season.

You won't find an easier or better mountain road than the year-round road to Jardine. On your way out of the canyon you will enjoy viewing the terraces of Yellowstone's famous Mammoth Hot Springs steaming from a distance.
